I was watching the recent tech demo of Windows 8, which gives us some insight into  how it will look, feel, behave and the programming techniques that can be used to develop future apps for the OS.

I have to say it did bring a smile to my face – the Fishbowl labs here are working with HTML5 creating proof of concepts to integrate browser  touch, gesture for Oracle systems like UCM.. Not only that – we’ve also been playing with the Xbox Kinect.

Yes; a bit like minority report, hooking up the Kinect to a PC and integrating body gestures to our touch gesture methods.

It appears from the demo that Windows 8 will support apps written with HTML 5, these could even be your mobile apps ported to the PC we’ve already seen Andriod apps are now portable to Windows – by the developers at Blue Stacks.

We’ll also get some viewlets up on the blog showing you some of the progress made with touch integrations hooking up our touch enabled mobile to a PC.
