ECM 11g
Oracle Universal Content Management 11g is here!
Fishbowl Solutions has been working with the 11g UCM product for several months now – as part of Oracle’s Early Adopter Program. Now that Oracle has announced and made the product available, we can share some of the cool stuff we’ve been doing. At the bottom of this post are links to some Oracle sites where you can download the product and read more about it.
First, we here at Fishbowl have worked with Oracle to craft a comprehensive upgrade and migration strategy to move from UCM 10g to 11g. This includes not only moving your content but also configuration. It means working with you to architect, implement and educate you and your users how to use the new system. From sysadmin work that is split between WebLogic Server and UCM admin server to Enterprise Manager controls to the familiar UCM configuration settings, we can help you. Contact us for details.
Second, we have updated, tested and released two products (with many more on the way!) for the 11g UCM platform. Our Fishbowl Portal Integration Suite (aka Fishbowl Portlets) provide the connection and integration point between your portal environment (like Oracle WebCenter, or other Portal Servers) and UCM 11g. They provide all the integration capabilities you need, from dynamic content fetching, WCM region fetching, querying, edit-in-context with the fantastic CK Editor (formerly FCK editor) and dynamic, personalized display. Thirdly, we are very pleased to announce the 11g readiness and new features of our Subscription Notifier product. Subscription Notifier is a rules-based messaging engine for Oracle UCM 11g. This latest version enables users to not only identify items for which they want automatic email notifications, but also to create cascading messages for periodic reviews. In addition to cascading messaging, Subscription Notifier software for Oracle UCM 11g provides lightweight system-to-system messaging with its robust callback capabilities. This software extends the basic functionality provided in Oracle UCM 11g. It allows “and/or” queries with date ranges, period identification, and criteria-driven user targeting while remaining scriptable. This supported software product facilitates lightweight yet advanced messaging inside the Oracle enterprise content management system. Contact us for details and a demo.
