These two slideshare presentations powerfully illustrate the difference in creating and bringing messages to market.

  1. THIS ONE is heavily focused on the one-way messaging of traditional media marketing and content strategy.
  2. THIS ONE (slideshare via LinkedIn) is all about how the message is contained in a conversation you have with people interested in who you are and what you do.

Initial reactions are that 1 is wrong and 2 is right.

However, I think that it is better to say that 1 lacks the collaborative community awareness that is necessary today and 2 ignores the much of the internal tooling required to get all that crowd-sourced brilliance “out there”.
